Not-Back-to-School Blog Hop, Week 3: Class pictures

As I mentioned previously, our son has been a “beast” with science experiments, so every class picture would look  like this.   He’s loving it, thankfully.

The oldest doesn’t like to be photographed, thinking that someone might see her in her robe, or note that her hair has a string out of place.   I, however, realize that these days are becoming shorter and shorter, so I force a picture now and then.    I think I have a jump on my “homeschooling her through the years post.”

All the kids are a joy, but I love the unabashedness of a little one, who has no qualms about looking a bit silly.    Here she is, our school’s fairy:

  1. I get hwo kids of certain ages are about picture taking! Love the ages where they wear dress up all day and beg to even wear it to church!

    Have a great year!

  2. The fairy wings made me smile so big and chuckle out loud. She’d fit right in with my little girls!

Ah, the “beast” word is in your household, too. My boys don’t use it too often yet, but some of their friends really do. Science experiments are one of the fave school activities at our place, too.

    1. Hey, Tracy!

Actually, the “beast” word came into my (can’t blame the kids) vocabulary from watching professional sports as much as I do. Funny, writing this entry was the first time I’d actually used it. However, when I thought about the number of science experiments he’s done in our short 3 weeks of school already, I had an image of a young NFL player completing countless reps with barbells. At that point, “beast” leaped off my mind and onto the page (smile).

      Thanks for stopping by.

  3. Oh I so agree. How nice to have a child at the age where they do not care what you think or who is looking. I love when my kids come to school in costume. 🙂

  4. I love your back to school pics! My kids arrive at the table in all kinds of costumes. It is fun to see “who” I am teaching some mornings.
    Blessings,
    Dawn
