First Fruits (and Vegetables)

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.

Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.

  1. Picking a template is a challenge. I am hoping they make some more pretty ones like the notepad chaos. I had it for a day and then, like you, changed because it was not very individualized looking.
    Have a nice weekend.

  3. When I first really started helping my hubby garden from begging to the end ( harvest). My hubby felt convicted for us to pull aside the first fruits. (meaning the best of the crop) and gave it to some in need. You cannot believe how amazing that is to do. It really showed my heart how we are to first “give” some of our best and then keep the rest. It is a heart issue and the Lord knew that about us. Amazing isn’t it? [0=

    1. Mary, you’ve given me much to think about (as always). I’ve always thought of our little garden as more of a hobby than a source of food (although I have to admit that the taste of our vegetables shows me what is often lacking in farms that mass produce relatively tasteless fruits and veggies). We eat the green onions faster than they can grow, and the bell peppers beg to be used, even by a none green pepper eater like me! (I prefer the more gentle flavor of a yellow or an orange bell pepper). I have to think through whom our little first harvest might bless, but you are right in stating that this is a heart issue, and the Lord will bless it tremendously.

I'd love to hear your two cents!!
