I Need College Prep, Not Bible Study!

More than once I have heard other Christian home educators make a statement similar to the following: ‘I am Christian. I just want to teach what is needed for college and then teach what is in the Bible on the weekend, not during normal school hours. I want my children to know who God is, but I want
them to get the information that will get them into a great college first,…’   This is not about secular curriculum versus the curriculum of a Christian believer. These are the words of a Christian who is drawing a distinction between the need for Biblical studies and the need for an academically rigorous, college preparatory curriculum. The discussion begs the question: Does studying the Bible as a part of my kids’ academic plan help prepare them for college?   My perspective on that is right here
