It’s About Time!

There is, for sure, a certain irony to a post about time when you have not slowed down to update your blog in a number of weeks. Yet, I still like to think I have something to offer to the community about time management, and I was happy to share it with Andrea Jonelle of EPIC Homeschool Network.

My time looks different now, being the mom of one, older homeschooled student. I spend the bulk of my day facilitating her work as I accomplish mine. And because she is a working, driving, dancing and otherwise very active teen and entrepreneur, there are always conversations to have, ranging from the superficial to the surreal. There are challenges at every stage, and redemption of the hours given us by grace is a task that none of us have completely mastered. So, prayerfully, you will find at least one useful tip among the number shared with Andrea. Enjoy.

  1. I was just thinking about how I can spend more time with my high schoolers as we homeschool this year because they are becoming more independent in their work. When I read It’s About Time! you brought out being at the kitchen table with your daughter as she works to give her companionship..that’s beautiful! That REALLY spoke to me. I feel like reading that is an answer to pray for me! THANK YOU! If you have the time, I’d love to know what those 2 hours you have with her look like before she goes off to work on her studies independently? Thank you so much for this post. It really is an answer to prayer! 🙂

    1. Leti, thank you for the visit, and I am so glad that this was blessing to you! Perhaps I will blog about the power of being present soon, but really, I am just an open-eared and open-eyed space for her to talk through life with as she works. But it is valuable time for us both!
